We Are Made to Love

Smile! We are alive and loved by the greatest of greatness, the King of kings, Lord of Lords! Prince of Peace and Everlasting Father, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Hallelujah! ! John 5:2-3 tells us, "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the Love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."  We are created by Jesus, so we are made to love. We are made to smile.

Love is not grievous! Our Father knows best. His ways of better than ours, he won't let us down and he has restoreth our soul and given us a new, clean, and righteous heart to love him with. Mark 12:30-31tells us, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

Jesus is love. His word tells us that if we don't love, we don't know him. we are made to love. Let's do what we were made to do and love! Love yourself, love your family, your friends, and strangers. Let's not only love when it's easy. We have to love the unlovable. We have to love those who hate us, those who spitefully use us.

Love everyone, not only when it was convenient because while we were yet sinners, Jesus showed us how much he loved us by dying for us. We serve a merciful God. One who loves us unconditionally. We have the best example of what love is, our Father. This is why we are made to love. Let's love.

Selfless Love

Every morning my fiancee wakes up early enough to pack lunches for the two of us before her 8am class. Today, she asked for help but I was unable to because I had this blog to post. She did not fret. She simply made lunch to express her love for me. I missed the entire mark today: love.

Selfless love is patient. She could have gotten irritated but she did not. I could have stopped what I was during to make her process a bit easier but I did not. This is not patience, nor is it love. I am not beating myself up but am simply sharing my learning experience. In everything we do, we must have charity for without charity, it profit us nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:3).

Hebrews 12:1 says, " Wherefore seeing we also are compasses about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." A big sin of mine is running with my desire, but we know that sin is an offense to God so we should be selfless in denying our flesh. This the selfless love we need.

I thank Ke'Ana for showing me selfless love today and I encourage all to be selfless in their love.

New Day

Today is a new day. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised. Today is what God has blessed us with. I've learned to honor Him one day at a time. The Lord said, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (1 Corinthians 5:17) I love how Jesus is the same yesterday and today and he will be the same tomorrow. It is us who have to take each day and try to match Jesus' love not only for Him but for ourselves.

One thing I've learned is that I did not love myself. I abused my body, poisoned my mind, and deprived my spirit. The worst of the three was depriving my spirit. I am my spirit and I need to be fed each day. I learned that The Word feeds my spirit because it is God talking to me. I learned that in His Word are details of how I should honor him with my body, and how my mind should be renewed in Him and what my spirit needs. My spirit needs Him and it cannot receive Him through doing worldly things. I have to be new in Him and leave those things which are behind.

Today, know that God loves you and wants you more each day and that each day is a new day to give your all to Him. Today is your day!

Good Morning

Today is going to be a good day. How do I know? This I know because today is a good morning. How is today a good morning. Today is a good morning because it is a new day, a new day that I was fortunate enough to see. Today is going to be a good day because I have a fresh yes! Today is a good morning because Jesus shined down on me today and woke me up with His light, hugged me with His grace, and kissed me with His love. His love is a perfect love, that knows no boundaries, knows no limits. When I say good morning, it truly is a good morning.
